This past Sunday, Salem celebrated our new school year in style!
We began the morning with two beautiful worship services. Beautiful little Piper Brown was baptized at our 8:00am Traditional service.
At our 10:30am Contemporary service, Mrs. Meg Marquradt was officially installed as a Called teacher at Salem, and Pastor prayed over our teachers and staff. Our 5th and 6th graders did an incredible job leading our congregation in worship, introducing our congregation to our new theme song for the school year, You Are My Anchor, which was expertly penned by our Director of Worship Arts, Zach Southall.
The morning's festivities concluded with a fabulous BBQ lunch where we chowed down on 150 burgers, 90 hot dogs, and 134 ears of corn! The kids enjoyed free face painting, bounce houses, and, of course, playing on the playground.
It was a beautiful morning of worship and fellowship! Thank you to all of our amazing volunteers who helped make the morning a success!
