Enrollment
Closed Registration is held the first week in February for School families to secure a spot for the upcoming academic year. At this time, registration is considered complete when the application is completed and registration fee is paid (see fee schedules under tuition tab). Space will not be retained for the upcoming year unless secured during closed registration. Acceptance is subject to satisfactory completion of the current grade and recommendation by the current teacher to advance to the next grade.
Applications for remaining openings will be accepted on a first come, first-served basis after this closed period. All final decisions rest with the Board of Education. If there exist fewer openings in the classroom than applications, privatization for openings into Salem Lutheran School will be in accordance with the following criteria:

If after direct observation of the child and examination of their records, the classroom teacher and the principal agree that it is in the best interest of the child and or the school that the child not attends Salem, the teacher and the principal will meet with the parents to discuss the problems and recommend alternative courses of action.
Each child is admitted on a conditional basis until the principal and classroom teacher have a chance to observe the child’s academic achievement and behavior.
Immunization requirements of the State of California must be met, and all enrollment forms must be completed and returned before child is allowed to attend.
